We contacted Elise because of her reputation, especially in our neighborhood, for getting homes sold. Our home had been on the market for approximately 20 months with minimal showings and no offers. We explained the situation to Elise and she quickly identified the practical and most cost efficient changes that needed to be made to make our house competitive with others at our asking price. Much to our surprise the changes recommended were not cost prohibitive and did not require structural changes or a large amount of time to implement. Elise helped us (or perhaps I should say we assisted her) in the selection of paint colors, carpeting, appliances, etc. to update our home to what buyers would be looking for and comparing to other homes on the market. Elise spent time with us at paint, carpet and appliance stores to be on hand for the selections.
Once the home was on the market the many tools offered by Keller-Williams to keep us abreast of the number of website viewings, showings, showing comments from the buyers and agents helped with the anxiety of whether all our efforts to prepare the house for sale were working (they were always find to be positive). Most important to us was Elise's continual efforts to communicate what was going on after each showing and how the market perceived our home and price level. Communication is a big key during this time of high anxiety in a home sale and Elise put forth every effort to minimize this anxiety for us.
